Purple Heart

I built the purple guitar to commemorate a long journey through India. I learned a lot during my travels and spent much time studying old world craftsmanship. The rare Red Sanders fingerboard on this guitar was brought back with me. This body style is the first of several that feature my original neck-through design. This design is unique because it allows for a book-matched top to be combined with a through-body guitar. The chambered body sides add resonance and reduce weight. In an effort to build a guitar with absolutely no plastic parts, I fabricated special rear adjusting pickup mounts and wooden knobs. This guitar also features a magnetic truss rod cover and water buffalo horn string ferrules. As an added touch, I finished it with organic shellac from India to give it a beautiful, all natural shine.
